Here I sit in Fresno, and alas, we have a new president. What a relief! I know I’ve been speaking a little about politics when I don’t normally, but the reason for it this time around is simply because of the environment at the moment. I didn’t realize how oppressive everyone has been feeling under the governing rule we’ve all been dealing with for the past four years, which of course affects me just like all of my readers out there. I spoke in my last post about how we just all seemed to be at each others throats with the protests, among other things, going on at the time. Now it just feels like that’s all been lifted like a veil to reveal people celebrating in the streets, not just in this country, but world wide. There’s a lot of work to do from from here, but I feel the people have spoken, and the right decision was made.
With all that being said, my time here in Fresno is coming to a close, hence my title for this blog post. I’ve been a few places and seen a good bit on this leg of my journey, and it’s time for the next phase. I’m working on establishing my LLC in order to ramp up my real estate investing, starting up some additional sideline contracting work in addition to my full time gig, and studying up on learning more for all the above endeavors. I need to slow things down a bit in the travel department, for now, in order to focus on getting my ducks in a row for the next steps.
So, I’ll be loading up the Mazda in a few days and making my way back to Arkansas. Eventually, I’ll need to be in Florida in order to check out properties with buying potential. I’ll still be traveling, but the focus is a bit different. When I traveled while writing my Finding My Way blog, I was wondering what to do next. I had lost my job. I had to move out of my house and rent it out. The housing market was too crappy for me to sell, so that wasn’t even an option at the time.
This leg of the journey is different in the sense that I know what to do, but it’s still going to be an adventure while taking those necessary steps and seeing where it leads. Because I didn’t like where I was living and had the opportunity to travel again, travel has become part of this journey as well. Moving forward in this venture, It’s time to establish a life that makes me want to keep going.
