Hello to all of my readers out there. Let me just mention, thanks so much to all of my readers who have sent me comments lately. To be honest, I didn’t think I would really get any kind of feedback at all from my last couple of posts, but I stand corrected. Even though I’m a bit late this week in writing, I felt compelled to get something out there after receiving good thoughts from the airwaves, so thanks again. As I mentioned in my comment replies, my reader comments provide me the juice I need to keep going and keep writing, so thank you all.
With that being said, it has been an interesting state of affairs for me as I hang with family over the holidays. I’m working at the same time, of course, and I’ll admit it’s just been hard lately to stay motivated. I get into my depressive slumps, when at the moment, I really don’t have a lot of reasons to feel that way when considering the grand scheme of things. I mean, I have a job, I have family, and lately I’ve even had some possible opportunities come my way, and I know there are a lot of people out there that don’t have it as good, especially now with all of the current craziness we’ve experienced.
At the same time, I’ve encountered some strange times lately. I’m in a situation I need to improve, and I’ve let it get to me in ways it really shouldn’t, like when dealing with my family for one. I once heard it said, by the Dalai Lama I believe, that the human race is so puzzling because we keep ourselves stuck in the past while we worry about the future. It’s so easy to say you need to live in the present, and so hard to do.
Hence, my inspiration for my post title this week is not about any particular political group or organization out there, it’s about all of us as a whole. If there truly is a divine consciousness, as I personally believe there is, we really need to work hard to think positive, to strive to do better, and to look forward to better times, as a collective. I’m definitely not trying to call together any sort of a cult or anything, just saying we need to work on the division this country is experiencing, not by protesting or rioting, but just by thinking of ourselves as one, as a collective.
Star Trek fans are probably thinking of the Borg (if I spelled that right), but I’d rather just keep it on a spiritual level. No chips in my brain please. It’s already messed up enough in there. Do your best to keep a positive vibe, ride the wave, see where it leads. Catch you next time.
