I’m spending my last few days in California before heading back East again. As I write this post, I’m watching the election news, and they’re talking about businesses boarding up with plywood, people trying to keep other people from voting, protests… wait a minute! What the hell is going wrong with this country? I don’t normally like to include any kind of politics into my blog posts, but honestly, what is going on? Never in all my days have I seen such talks of people trying to deliberately screw with the process that is supposed to make this country the greatest country out there. I’m just hoping we’re not going to be living like doomsday preppers following this election. I hope and pray.
Had to get that out of the way and get back to matters at hand. It seems like my life has just been a series of setbacks lately. I’m trying to get my LLC squared away, and what I thought were going to be minor details, such as getting my virtual address established, have dragged the process out to what feels like all eternity, mainly because I can’t even get a human being on the phone to help me. Customer service just seems to be a thing of the past these days, and it seems to be getting blamed on Covid. I don’t buy this claim anymore. We’ve been dealing with Covid for months now, and I still can’t get my LLC outfit on the phone after trying to get in touch with them for weeks? I’m finding that harder and harder to stomach. Covid is here to stay. We need to get business and customer service back on track.
On a lighter note, I did some exploring out here in Cali on Halloween day, and it really made my weekend. I was in Merced, California, and got to talking to a delightful couple that reminded me all over again of why I love California. It just seems like every time I come here, I find people to chat with that make me feel like I’ve known them for years. I’m not sure what it is about the people in these parts, maybe we’re just on the same wavelength. If it wasn’t for the cost of living out this way, I wouldn’t hesitate to pull up roots on the east side for good.
I’m trying to get my life on a track that I want to see continue, and I’m hoping we can all do the same as a country. Whatever side you’re on, all my readers out there, let’s just aim for a direction where we can work together and do what we need to do, not be at each other’s throats. When was that ever part of the plan? Haven’t our forefathers fought, and died, to prevent this kind of thing from happening? At least when you fight for freedom, you’re fighting for something, not just to tear each other apart. Let’s all get it together, and work together, for a much needed change.
