I wanted to start my blog at the first of September 2020, but I didn’t quite make it. It’s almost 3:30 in the morning, September 2nd. It’s been about six years since my last blog, so at least I got the next one started sometime.

My last blog, called Finding My Way, was about me traveling west from the eastern side of the states. I lost my job, so I rented out my house so I wouldn’t lose that as well. I packed up my 2004 Mazda 6 with clothes, camping gear, and whatever else I could cram into that car that I thought I might need. I still think about the people I met, the places I saw, the great times I had to this day. Google photos reminders have been popping up on my phone with pictures I took of canyons, desert, forests, different landmarks that probably don’t mean a lot to anyone but me.

The reason I’m reminiscing about all of this is because I’m starting it up again, as the title implies. The circumstances are a little different, but the underlying cause is still the same.

I don’t know whether to be excited, or bummed out over the fact that I still haven’t improved my life since the last journey, which is why I started out six years ago. At least it feels that way at the moment. On the other hand, it’s good to have the opportunity to move on once again. I somehow managed to keep from getting too grounded in current situation. I still have a job that currently allows me to work remote, at least for now. I’m certainly thankful for this, and just hoping I get to ride that out a bit longer.

I’m in my apartment, that I have to move out of shortly since I didn’t renew the lease. I have to get the last of my things and pack them into my 2004 Mazda 6 that I’m still driving. I’m off to Arizona, and we’ll just have to see where to from there. Something is telling me I need to spend time west again for insight that is coming my way.
